“There is nothing else to compare with this treasury of family history on the face of the whole earth. I feel the Lord has designed that it should be so. This is his church which carries His name, and one of its purposes is to make available to the millions beyond the veil of death the full blessings that lead to eternal life.” ~President Hinckley
Heap of Mineers
This blog is dedicated to all of those who came before us and paved the way so that we are where we are today. It is facinating to learn about our ancestors, the more we learn the more we feel like we know them and the more we come to love them. In return for learning about and loving them, I feel that love come back to me and I know that (my ancestors) and our Heavenly Father are pleased with my desire to know more. There are so many blessings that come from seeking out our herritage, we are told that we will feel the Spirit of Elijah when we work on family history. I can tell you that it it true, you really will feel his spirit and find that you want to know more & feel that there is someone else out there who is waiting to be found. I have been collecting pictures and letters and whatever other information I can find. I wanted to have a place to share what I have found that's the reason for this blog. I am hoping that by sharing what I know, you (the readers) will have a desire to know more and help me in my quest of finding more ancestors.
D&C 110:14-15 This is when Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery were praying in the Kirkland Temple and they beheld a vision where they saw Elijah, the scripture reads; “Behold the time has fully come, which was spoken of by the mouth of Malachai- testifying that he (Elijah) would be sent, before the great and dreadful day of the lord come- to turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers, lest the whole earth be smitten with a curse-“
