Uncle Lincoln Sherwood

This is a letter written by Gleason Sherwood while he was in Italy during WWII, to his younger brother Lincoln Sherwood who (I think) was in North Carolina working as an Air Force Flight Instructor. The first time I read this letter I was over come with emotion. These two brothers never saw each other again because Lincoln was killed in a plane crash in North Carolina. I know that the two brothers were able to see each other in Italy when Lincoln was still there in the war, but I am not sure when that was. For some reason I am really drawn to the Sherwood family and their life stories. When I think about all of the loss and grief that Pammy and Grandad suffered in their lifetime, I am in awe of their strength and courage, and marvel at their GREAT attitude. They raised an amazing family and I have to say that their three daughters (my Nana and her sisters Aunt Nin and Aunt Ruth) are some of my most favorite people in the world. I really wish that I could have know Pammy and Grandad in this life, and I can't wait to know them in the next. There is lots more information about Uncle Lincoln that I will work on getting posted.
